A Chooda ceremony is a traditional Punjabi pre-wedding ritual. It involves the bride’s uncles (Mamajis) and aunts (Mamijis) placing a set of bangles on her wrists. The chooda symbolises prosperity, good luck, and a happy marriage.
It’s an emotional and joyous occasion, often marked by blessings from family members.
The groom is traditionally not present at the Chooda ceremony; however, we welcome his friends and family to witness this beautiful occasion. We kindly ask that anyone attending refrains from drinking alcohol beforehand.
