Travel
Entry Requirements
Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.
Starting in 2027, non-EU nationals — including U.S. citizens — may be required to obtain an ETIAS travel authorization before entering Italy.
The system is expected to become operational before your trip. We will keep everyone updated as soon as official information becomes available.
Airports & Transfers
The two main airports we recommend are:
✈️ Naples International Airport (NAP – Capodichino)
The closest and most convenient airport to Sorrento.
Approximately 50–55 km
Around 1 hour by car
Private transfer (recommended)
Curreri shuttle bus
Car rental (please note that parking within Sorrento can be limited)
✈️ Rome Airports (Fiumicino – FCO / Ciampino – CIA)
Approximately 270–300 km from Sorrento.
A great option if you're planning to spend a few days exploring Rome before or after the wedding.
From Rome, you can easily reach Sorrento by train to Naples, followed by a private transfer, shuttle, or local train.
Getting from Naples to Sorrento
Private Transfer: the most comfortable and direct option, taking you directly from Naples Airport or Naples city centre to your accommodation in Sorrento.
Curreri Shuttle Bus: a reliable direct service connecting Naples Airport with Sorrento. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on traffic, and the bus arrives at Sorrento Train Station.
Train: take the Alibus from Naples Airport to Napoli Centrale, then board the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento. This is generally the most economical option, although it may be less comfortable when travelling with large or multiple pieces of luggage.
Ferry: take the Alibus from Naples Airport to Molo Beverello and then board a high-speed ferry or hydrofoil to Sorrento. The Alibus journey usually takes around 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic, while the ferry crossing takes approximately 40 minutes and generally costs between €16 and €19 per person, with a possible additional charge for larger luggage. Ferries arrive at Marina Piccola, Sorrento’s port. From there, you can reach the town centre by taking the public lift up to Villa Comunale, followed by a short walk to Piazza Tasso, or by using a local bus or taxi. Ferry services may be seasonal and can be affected by weather conditions, so checking the timetable in advance is recommended.
